Spring!

Ok, it's not really spring yet, but it sure feels like it some days! I can't think about jackets, scarves or mittens anymore! 
Visions of tank tops, summery skirts and sandals dance in my head. 
Bright colors, soft and light fabrics, swim suits and sunhats! 

As much as I love my purple boots that I bought for $10 at Thrift Town, my icecream cone scarf, and my catwoman beanie....I long for the sun on my (heavily sunscreened) shoulders, adventures to friends pools and long days unencumbered by cold and sweaters.


I plan on making some vintage style suits, summery dresses for girls and ladies, and much more! So exciting! 

Groupon Offer

Registration for Groupon classes has been closed. I have had a huge last minute rush of Groupon holders who need to redeem their classes and I am booked solid till January 7th. 


My holiday black out dates are Dec 21st-Jan 2nd. 
There will be no classes offered during this time. 
The offer expires January 7th and Groupon classes will not be offered after that day.

Holiday Blackout dates for Classes!

The year of the Groupon is drawing to a close. Make sure to get your classes in before the winter holidays! Check the calendar for black out dates and schedule accordingly.

Thanksgiving Holiday: No classes offered the 23rd -29th of November.
Winter Holiday Break: No classes offered December 21st - January 2nd.

Sew! Sew! Sew!

I've been teaching and sewing all through the spring, and summer, and now headed into the fall! This is a great time to start thinking about school clothes, new book bags, and costumes for Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos! 


Sign up for classes! $40 gets you a 2 hour class with one on one instruction! Or get a four class package for the great price of $130 (you save $30!). Book a class with a friend and you each only pay $30 for two hours!

Please note that due to the overwhelming response this promotion has received, all classes are being booked on a first come first served basis. Currently classes are booked until early April. Also note that the Groupon offer is good until January 7th of 2012, so there's really no rush to get them in!

Also! The Chop Shop has moved! The new location is 514 Central Ave. SE inside Albuquerque's newest store "The Octopus and the Fox". The studio will be quiet, private, with wood floors and a much nicer/closer bathroom!

Ch-ch-ch-changes and new stuff!

I'm thinking about switching up Craft Night/Stitch & Bitch...

Tuesdays nights are great and all, but it seems like a lot of people work, or are tired, or something else is going on, excuses excuses!

Due to popular demand the Chop Shop is going to start rotating the night, so hopefully more people are able to come down and get their craft on!

I'll update the calendar as in advance as possible... so keep your eyes peeled!

Classes Forming Now!!!

I'd like to start classes next week. They will be small, 1-3 people to start with (a 4th person can be added if they bring their own sewing machine!) Classes are $30 for 2 hours. Check out the Google calendar!
